2.EU representative under the GDPR

In data protection matters the representative is the point of contact for data subjects and EU supervisory authorities; it is not a controller and not a data protection officer.

3.Place of operation and applicable rules

The Postemi service is provided by a business with its registered office in Switzerland, in English, to users outside Hungary; the same service is provided in Hungarian, primarily to users in Hungary, under the Posty brand. The provider has no establishment in the European Union.

Since the service is directed at data subjects in the European Union, the GDPR applies to the processing of personal data under Article 3(2)(a) GDPR. Given its registered office in Switzerland, the provider is at the same time subject to the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG, FADP). The European Commission has recognized Switzerland as a third country ensuring an adequate level of protection, so no additional safeguards are needed for transferring personal data from the EU to the Swiss provider. Details are in the Privacy Policy, and the online withdrawal statement can be submitted on the Withdrawal page.

4.Hosting and infrastructure providers

The application servers and databases of the service run on servers in Germany; the uploaded media files and the content delivery for the website are provided by a separate provider:

5.Complaints and dispute resolution

You can submit any question, objection or complaint about the service to [email protected] or to the postal address above. We investigate the complaint and, unless the law requires a shorter deadline, reply in writing, with reasons, within 30 days of receipt.

The European Commission's online dispute resolution (ODR) platform was closed on July 20, 2025, so complaints can no longer be submitted through it. A user who qualifies as a consumer may turn to the conciliation body (consumer dispute resolution body; in Hungary the békéltető testület) competent for their place of residence; since the provider is not a business established in the European Union, whether the procedure is conducted depends on the decision of the body concerned. The provider has not made a general declaration of submission to conciliation body proceedings, but is open to taking part in such a procedure voluntarily. The consumer is in all cases entitled to go to court; the applicable rules are set out in the Terms of Service.

For complaints related to data processing, the contact details of the competent supervisory authorities are set out in the Privacy Policy.

The conditions for using Postemi are set out in the Terms of Service, and the processing of personal data in the Privacy Policy.
