Schedule Social Media Posts with OpenAI dots
- Install the plugin in ChatGPT, then hand it to your dot
- An always-on agent keeps your calendar filled
- 20 platforms, including X, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok
The plugin is listed in ChatGPT as "Posty: Social Media Scheduler", Postemi's sister brand on the same platform. You sign in with your Postemi account.
How do I connect Postemi to OpenAI dots?
Add Postemi to OpenAI dots
Sign in to Postemi and connect the accounts your dot may post to.
Dots are available on ChatGPT Pro (not in the EEA, Switzerland or the UK) and Business Premium, according to OpenAI. Postemi does not control which plans get them.
Then just ask OpenAI dots
Once connected, OpenAI dots calls the Postemi tools. Scheduled posts go out on time, even after you close the chat.
Done. I found your X and LinkedIn accounts and scheduled both posts for 9:00 tomorrow. Want me to save a version for Instagram as a draft too?

One OpenAI dots connection powers every channel you run
Connect your accounts in Postemi once. From then on OpenAI dots can post to any of them, 20 platforms today, without a separate setup per network.
- Each account keeps its own rules and character limit, and OpenAI dots reads them first.
- One request can go to several platforms, with the text adapted to each.
- New accounts you connect in Postemi show up for OpenAI dots at once.

What can OpenAI dots do with Postemi?
Draft, schedule or publish
A dot creates a post as a draft, schedules it for a time you name, or publishes it right away. Ask for a draft when you want to check it first.
Preview per account
Before it creates anything, a dot can show what would go out on each account: the text, the media and the character count.
Reads your calendar
A dot sees what is already scheduled, in your time zone, so it can find a free slot or move a post.
Knows each platform's rules
Postemi tells a dot the character limit and the options of every connected account before it writes.
Images and video
A dot adds media from a link, or gives you an upload link for a file on your own computer.
Workspaces and client groups
If you manage several brands, a dot lists your workspaces and client groups and works in the one you pick.
What is the Postemi MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets an AI agent use outside tools. Postemi runs a hosted MCP server at https://mcp.postemi.com/mcp. Your dot connects to it, and from then on it can list your channels, read your calendar and create posts in your Postemi account.
The server runs on Postemi's side, so there is nothing to install for it. You sign in to Postemi in the browser, or use an MCP key, and that decides the workspace your dot works in. Your social accounts stay connected in Postemi itself: your dot never sees their passwords.
Postemi has no built-in AI writer, on purpose. Your dot writes the posts, Postemi schedules and publishes them.
How OpenAI dots uses Postemi
Once Postemi is connected, OpenAI dots finds the tools by itself and calls them when you ask for a post.
- Reads your connected accounts and each one's rules
- Checks the calendar and your time zone before it picks a time
- Can show a preview per account before it creates a post
- Saves a draft, schedules, or publishes now, as you asked
- Adds images and video from a link, or from an upload link you open

Look at my Postemi calendar for next week and suggest three LinkedIn posts for the empty days. Save them as drafts.
Write a short announcement for our new product and schedule it on X, LinkedIn and Instagram for Thursday at 9:00. Adapt the length to each platform.
Every Friday, tell me what is scheduled on my social accounts next week and which days are still empty.
