Postemi vs. Buffer
Buffer is cheaper with only a few accounts, and its free plan is genuinely usable. With more accounts, Postemi's fixed plan price, recurring posts and agent control come out ahead.

What Buffer does well
- On the free plan you can manage three social accounts, with ten scheduled posts per account and no time limit.
- With one or two accounts, the $6 per-account monthly fee is a good deal.
- The social inbox lets you follow comments and replies in one place. Postemi has no inbox like that.
- The Chrome extension lets you save content while you browse. Postemi has no browser extension.
- The public API and MCP server are available on every plan, including free. AI agents can drive Buffer's calendar with them directly.
When should you pick Buffer instead?
For one or two social accounts Buffer can be cheaper, and for three accounts there is the unlimited-time free plan. It is also the better pick if you need a social inbox or a Chrome extension. With more accounts, recurring posts or more involved automation, it is worth considering Postemi too.
Why switch to Postemi?
- Fixed plan price. Pro manages ten social accounts for $25 a month. At Buffer, ten accounts cost about $60 a month, because you pay per account.
- More automation. Recurring posts and post sets mean you do not have to type every slot by hand. RSS auto-post turns new content into a post. Buffer's RSS feed is only for gathering ideas.
- Full agent control. Both products have an MCP server and a public API. Postemi also ships a published CLI and a SKILL.md file, so your own AI agent can drive the calendar from the terminal. This is available from the Pro plan.
- Support from the founder. Every payment gets a VAT invoice. If you get stuck, Norbi, the founder, replies.

Frequently asked questions
- Is Postemi cheaper than Buffer?
- It depends on how many accounts you have. With one or two accounts Buffer can be cheaper. With ten accounts, Postemi Pro is $25 a month, and Buffer is about $60. These are indicative prices.
- Does Postemi have a free plan?
- No. You can try it free for seven days. Buffer's unlimited-time free plan includes three social accounts and ten scheduled posts per account.
- Which platforms do Postemi and Buffer support?
- The supported platforms largely overlap. Postemi also posts to Telegram, Discord and Slack. Buffer supports Mastodon, which Postemi does not.
- Can I move my scheduled posts from Buffer?
- You can move the copy and the media files, but there is no automatic import. Upload the media, paste the text, then set the times in the calendar.
- Why should I pick Postemi over Buffer?
- With more accounts the fixed plan price matters, and you can post without a cap on every plan. Postemi also handles recurring posts, RSS auto-post, post sets and webhooks. Instead of a built-in AI copywriter it is built around your own model: you can drive the calendar directly through MCP, the API or the CLI.
