Set POSTEMI_API_KEY in the environment with a key from the Automations → Developers page. On your own computer, postemi auth:login opens the browser.

How does it handle a photo?

postemi upload sends the file first and prints a URL. The agent passes that URL to posts:create with -m.

What is the Postemi MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the other way in. Postemi runs a hosted MCP server at https://mcp.postemi.com/mcp, for agents that cannot run commands, like ChatGPT or Claude on the web.

The CLI and the MCP server use the same account and the same calendar. You can let a coding agent use the CLI and a chat app use MCP at the same time.
