The changelog becomes a post, in the terminal
Claude writes a post from the changelog, and a thread from the release notes. Postemi uploads the media, finds a time slot, then schedules to 12 platforms.
Install the Postemi CLI: npm install -g posty-cli, then sign in: posty auth:login. The package SKILL.md file describes every command, details: https://postemi.com/ai/claude
Four commands to your first post
You install the CLI, sign in, fetch the integrations, then create the first post. From there, Claude Code can take over.
# Install the official CLI$ npm install -g posty-cli# Sign in to the Postemi account$ posty auth:login# Fetch the integrations$ posty integrations:list[{ "id": "cmf3k7…", "name": "Cafe · Instagram" }]# Create the first post$ posty posts:create \$ -c "New brunch menu this Saturday." \$ -i "cmf3k7…" \$ -s "2026-08-16 09:00" --timezone Europe/Budapest✅ Post created successfully!{ "id": "cmf7p2…", "state": "QUEUE" }
The CLI writes JSON to standard output, and status and errors to standard error. A failed run exits with a non-zero code.
A thread, in a single command
$ posty posts:create \$ -c "We shipped 2.0. Three things changed. 1/3" \$ -c "The calendar is faster. 2/3" \$ -c "And there is a dark theme at last. 3/3" \$ -d 5 \$ -i "cmf3k7…" \$ -s "2026-08-16T09:00:00+02:00"
From the conversation to the calendar
Claude writes the copy, and Postemi schedules it. You can reach the same account via MCP, CLI, or REST API.
Copy from the session
Claude writes a post from the changelog you give it in the conversation, and a thread from the release notes. It hands the finished copy to Postemi for scheduling.
Media upload
posty upload uploads the image or video, then returns a URL. Claude uses that for the -m flag that follows -c.
Rearranging the calendar
Claude fetches the posts, finds a free slot, then rearranges the plan. It uses the posts:list, posts:find-slot, and posts:delete commands for this.
Second way: CLI
Claude Code can also use the posty command directly. From the bundled SKILL.md, it handles the full CLI with no extra training.
Third way: REST
The public REST API is available at api.posty.hu. You can manage the same Postemi account from your own workflow or program.
Approval in the calendar
Claude writes and schedules the post, and you check it in the Postemi calendar. Every send needs your approval.
Four steps from Claude to the calendar
You connect the social accounts once. After that, the Claude app and Claude Code use the same Postemi connection.
Connect the accounts
On the Postemi web app, you connect the social accounts you want to use via OAuth. You do this once per account, before the first schedule.
$ posty integrations:list[{ "id": "cmf3k7…", "name": "Cafe · Instagram" },{ "id": "cmf3k9…", "name": "Cafe · Facebook" }]
Create a key
On the Automations → Developers page you create a key that starts with psty_mcp_…. You also get the details needed for the Claude MCP connection here.
# Automations → Developers → New key# We show the key once, when you create it. # For the command line and the REST API:POSTY_API_KEY=YOUR_API_KEY # MCP clients get a separate key:# psty_mcp_…Hand it to Claude
In the Claude app and in Cowork, under Settings, Connectors, you add a custom connector at https://api.posty.hu/mcp-oauth. Claude picks up the settings on its own. In Claude Code you install the Postemi plugin, or you add the server with a single command. Either way you sign in to Postemi in the browser. There is no key to copy.
# Claude Code, the shortest path: the plugin, with browser loginclaude plugin marketplace add norbertlevente/posty-agentclaude plugin install posty@posty-agent # Or without the plugin, still with browser login (no key):claude mcp add --transport http posty https://api.posty.hu/mcp-oauthclaude mcp login posty # Claude app → Settings → Connectors, custom connector:https://api.posty.hu/mcp-oauth # With a key, for scripts and development:https://api.posty.hu/mcp/YOUR_API_KEYCheck them in the calendar
Claude schedules the finished posts. You review and approve them in the Postemi calendar every time, before they go out to the selected platforms.
$ posty posts:list[{ "id": "cmf7p2…", "state": "QUEUE","publishDate": "2026-08-16T07:00:00Z" },{ "id": "cmf7q8…", "state": "DRAFT","publishDate": "2026-08-18T06:30:00Z" }]
What are Claude and Claude Code?
Claude is the Anthropic assistant. The Claude app works in the browser, on desktop, and on your phone. Claude Code works in the terminal, on your own files. Both schedule the finished content with Postemi.
In practice you show it the changelog or the release notes. Claude writes a post or a thread from that, then hands it to Postemi for scheduling in the same session. You never have to leave the terminal.
The Claude app reaches Postemi through a remote MCP connector. Claude Code registers the connection with the claude mcp add command, or uses the posty CLI directly from the bundled SKILL.md.
Claude app
An assistant you can use in the browser, on desktop, and on your phone. It connects to Postemi as a remote MCP connector, with the URL and developer key you are given.
Claude Code
It runs in the terminal and works on your own files. It schedules via MCP or directly with the Postemi CLI.
Clear roles
Claude writes the copy. Postemi schedules it, and you review and approve in the calendar before it goes out.
A predictable interface for Claude
Postemi returns a machine-readable response and a clear error signal. Claude can drive the same account three ways.
- JSON on stdoutClaude can parse the JSON response of each command for the next step.
- Clear errorsIt writes status and errors to stderr. A failed run exits with a non-zero code.
- Bundled skill fileThe SKILL.md in the npm package tells Claude Code how to use the CLI.
- Flat command setThe command set drives Postemi with no hidden state that survives between runs.
- Three access modesYou can reach the same Postemi account directly via MCP, CLI, and REST API.
---name: postydescription: Posty schedules and publishes social posts from the command line.homepage: https://posty.hu--- # Output contract Every command prints its JSON result, and nothingelse, to stdout; status lines, warnings and errorsgo to stderr, and every failure exits 1. # Two Hard Rules (Read First) Rule 1: Authenticate before anything.Rule 2: Every file passed to `-m` MUST first gothrough `posty upload`.SKILL.md is part of the posty-cli npm package. Claude Code reads it and handles the CLI with no extra training.
The full workflow in the terminal
The CLI creates a post, lists posts, finds a time slot, fetches status, uploads media, and shows analytics. Claude Code runs these directly.

The schema comes from integrations:settings.The CLI writes JSON to standard output, so Claude gets every command result in a machine-readable form.
